Tacoma Firemen Rescue Kitty
I really thought this was an urban myth. But this morning I awoke to a Tacoma Fire truck parked outside my front window with ladder extending to rescue a wayward neighborhood kitty named Max that had managed to get himself stuck on a slippery roof yesterday.

We tried to get the fire dept to rescue a kitty once at an apartment in NJ, not even the student fire dept at rutgers u would do it. (Yes I called the non-emergency number.) Poor kitty spent a couple days up there before she finally got brave enough to jump down.

Poor thing. The firefighters were all smiles and laughs today. They were taking pictures with their camera phones. Maybe it was a slow emergency morning? It was very nice of them, especially since the weather turned ugly shortly after.
