Happy Halloween

I never know how many trick-or-treaters we'll get at our house. Logic says we should get a lot given our North Slope Historic District location and relatively high concentration of children in the neighborhood. Tonight's weather report is dry, something I haven't seen since moving here in 2005. This is my first rain-free Halloween. However, it's 7:15 and we've had exactly two groups of kids totalling six trick-or-treaters since I flipped on the porch light on just after six.

What a bummer. And we have so much candy. I'm literally giving it away by the handfulls. Way to miss out Tacoma kids.

I've been entertaining myself by dressing up the dogs instead.

Pharaoh, pouting like a little girl. He hates it when we put any sort of "clothing" on him and his reaction is to run and hide. Sorry bud. It was totally worth it for the pig tails.

God I need a hobby.

1 hobby or not...those dogs are super cute in their costume. we have the same problem...i never know how much candy to buy so, i buy way too much, give it out by the handful and, i still have leftovers so, of course, i binge eat it and then go to bed sick to my stomach! happy halloween!

2 We bought approximately twice as much candy as we needed, although we did go through one large bowl. It was fun trick or treating your house! I love the dog costumes.

4 Aww. I wish my cats were that tolerant. Loved all the costumes. We got around 45 kids at our place, and went through a big bowl of candy (mostly due to my generous, fistful of candy handouts). Only a partially full box of larger candy bars remained, and fortunately for my hips, I've got a few folks at the office with a sugar tooth and a bottomless pit for a stomach that will take care of the rest.

5 We probably had about 30 kids in all. Justin defied my strict instructions not to get more candy while I was out of town. We would have ended up just about perfect as we were handing out handfuls as well. However, due to the influx of new candy we have a giant bowl full left over with no office to take it to. It's so weird how the Twix bars seem to be disappearing faster than the other things...

6 See you later. Mutual understanding. ec0-350 Don't blow it out of proportion. e20-322 I'm so hurry that I could eat a horse. 642-373 Be practical. 350-001 You can never tell about this sort of thing. mb2-631 Big deal?
