Congratulations to Anurag Kashyap of Poway for winning the 78th Annual National Spelling Bee.

Here he is, braces and all, holding his trophy aloft.

I grew up in Poway and The Boonies, where I now live, is "just up the hill." That's a big clue to anyone who lives in the North County of San Diego.

Anyway--congratulations Anurag! Appoggiatura!
